about me
With over a decade of nonprofit CEO experience and therapeutic expertise, I have a deep understanding of the challenges nonprofit leaders face. My approach is designed to empower leaders to not only magnify their mission but also achieve personal fulfillment.
about me
Leading a mental health organization in Chicago at 29, I was the epitome of dedication. My identity was intertwined with relentless work, propelling our mission forward but at a personal cost to my health and my personal relationships.
Despite our successes, it also became evident that our strategies for growth and alignment were no longer sustainable. We hit a ceiling, and the more I pushed, the more it felt like spinning wheels—our momentum stalled, and the disconnect between our board and staff grew.
from burnout to break through
The real wake-up call came with my pregnancy. It forced me to question the sustainability of my leadership style and the future I was building. This introspection led to an invaluable insight: True leadership is not about pushing harder but leading consciously—with clarity, alignment, and a renewed strategy that fosters growth without sacrificing well-being.
I realized that to drive real change and break through our growth ceiling, we needed to pivot our approach. This meant fostering a culture where wellbeing is modeled at the top, where staff and board are aligned under a shared vision, where accountability is embraced, and where momentum is continuously nurtured through strategic, mindful leadership.
a new chapter
Today, as the founder of Freed Leaders, I am dedicated to sharing these lessons with other small nonprofit leaders. My approach integrates practical leadership tools with therapeutic insights, designed to address the root causes of organizational and personal challenges that lead to mission stagnation and professional burnout.
